Research Expertise:
Structural, electronic and mechanical properties of materials and correlation with the physical properties, using advanced Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM) and Scanning/Transmission (STEM) techniques including quantitative high resolution TEM (qHRTEM), high-angle annular dark field (HAADF or else Z-contrast)) imaging, atomic scale chemical analysis (EDXS) and electron energy loss spectroscopy (EELS) combined with simulations and theoretical modeling.
Research Activities:
Microstructure, interfacial properties, structural defects, local strain fields and chemical composition at the nanoscale in a variety of advanced materials systems in the form of thin films, low-dimensional multilayered heterostructures (1D, 2D, 3D), quantum structures, nanoparticles, vitreous and glass ceramics, composite materials
